The Kettupäivät - Finnish Shortfilm and Documentary Film Festival
Kettupäivät (Finnish for "Fox Days") is an annual Finnish short and documentary film festival in Helsinki. The 27th Kettupäivät will take place from November 17 until November 20 2010.
The Kettupäivät will present recent Finnish short films in cinema Andorra, in the heart of Helsinki city. Finnish Film Contact has organized the festival for 27 years now. The best short films will be awarded on Satuday in professional filmmakers' and film student's categories as well as in the category of contemporary films. Furthermore, the best new Finnish animation will be selected and awarded with the Hinku and Vinku prize.
For the 15th time the festival stages a special feature called FoxOff: films in this competition must not exceed three minutes in length and deal with a specialized topic each year. This year's subject is “Contact”.
Besides the competitions, the festival employs special programs. The festival closes on Saturday the 20th of November with a prize-giving ceremony.
After the closing ceremony, festival-goers will have the opportunity to talk to filmmakers and enjoy the night with live music in Dubrovnik Lounge&Lobby.
This years programme will be published in Ohjelmisto-page in early November.
